I'm Starting a Blog!

I've been thinking about starting a blog for a while now. Earlier this year, I finally got around to setting up this website, and now I would like to really build this blog out into what I've been imagining from the start.

My Goals

There are a few goals I have for this website overall:

1. I want to keep my family and friends up to date on my life
2. I want to document my life's journey
3. I want somewhere where I can capture the essence of who I am, who I've been, and who I'm becoming

Inspirations and Resources

I was recently reading Cory Zue's blog, which was my initial inspiration for putting together my own website. I really appreciate how much he's shared with the world about his journey, I wanted to do something similar for myself. For now you'll probably notice a lot of similarities with my blog and his, but I fully expect things to evolve over time (and thank Cory for all the inspiration!).

I should probably also acknowledge timlrx for his blog starter template on github, which made it super easy to get this site off the ground. My website is currently a very basic copy of the template, but the plan is to keep improving and iterating on things over time.
